Chief Engineer

The House FM and The House of Praise have an opening for a Radio Chief Engineer at the non-profit organization’s headquarters in Oklahoma. The radio ministry is looking for a detail-oriented, organized multi-tasker who has the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. This is a full-time position, ideal for:

Responsibilities:

Overseeing the maintenance and operation of all broadcast-related equipment, and keeping such equipment operational and compliant with FCC rules and regulations at all times.
The Chief Engineer will act as the Chief Operator of all 20 transmitters, and will rotate being on-call for “Emergency” technical situations.
The Chief Engineer will also supervise two part-time assistant engineers.
He/She will coordinate all installation and maintenance of radio broadcast equipment, towers, fences, buildings, and generators, along with other duties as assigned.
Solid working knowledge of broadcast consoles and automated on-air operating systems, such as Zetta, is required. I.T. and networking skills required as well.

Qualifications & Requirements:

At least five years of broadcast-engineering experience is required.
A minimum of an Associate’s Degree is required (work experience might substitute for the degree).
Excellent communication and organization skills. Ability to set and adhere to deadlines.
Must possess a desire to impact coworkers and audience members through Christian ministry.

Oklahoma City Metro Outreach

The House FM and The House of Praise have a full-time Oklahoma City Metro Outreach team member position open at the non-profit organization in Edmond, Oklahoma. The position will assist and work with the Promotions Department for The House FM and The House of Praise.

This is a full-time position, ideal for:

Marketing and Promotion Professionals desiring a full-time position with a ministry.

Responsibilities:

Arrange station presence at concerts and events.
Assists in fundraising activities as required.
Maintains resources related to internal and external promotional events.
Effectively communicate job expectations and station standards with the promotions director and staff.
Assist in planning and executing station promotions.
Learn and follow FCC rules and regulations for on-air and web-based contests/promotions.
Maintain accurate and detailed calendars of upcoming appearances, contests/promotions, and concerts.
Work with the Engagement Team for station prizes and gifts to donors.
Manage the promotional and prize inventory, including, but not limited to, banners, promo cards, and giveaway items.
Connecting and talking with people and staff at events sharing the mission of the House FM.
Assist with Social Media, bulk email, text alerts, etc., when the Social Media Content Coordinator asks.
Assist with prize drawings and giveaways during various events, promotions, and fundraising.
Assist with our volunteer base, contacting them and coordinating them at events.
Oversee coordination of a quarterly inventory of promotional items and prizes.
Oversee the process of making sure we are ready for each promotional event. i.e., packing of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

At least one year of experience is preferred but not required.
A minimum of an Associates Degree is required (work experience might substitute for the degree).
Excellent communication and organization skills. Ability to set and adhere to deadlines.
Be very tech-savvy and social media knowledgeable.

Administrative Assistant

The House FM is a listener-supported Christian radio network serving much of central and western Oklahoma and southern Kansas. Our ministry is seeking a full-time office assistant to support our team in our Ponca City, OK headquarters. This individual will perform a variety of vital tasks necessary to the operation of our radio networks.

Responsibilities:

Support the office team in all forms of internal operations, organization, communications and team care.
Support the team in the execution of external initiatives – donor development, general fundraising, recruiting, community relations, etc.
Pickup and deliver mail, supplies, promotional materials, prizes, etc. as a representative of our brand.
Tasks include answering and routing phone calls, sorting, posting, and sending mail, responsible for Accounts Receivable, contract management, and various other administrative tasks.
Maintaining accurate records of valuable company information both digitally and physically.
Familiarity with MS Office Suite, Google Docs, Quickbooks, general office equipment, business communications software such as Gmail, MS Outlook, and an ability to learn proprietary software.

Qualifications & Requirements:

The ideal candidate is pursuing/has pursued a post-high school education with experience in business, public service, ministry or a similar field.
Outgoing personality with an ability to interact with community leaders, business people, donors, and the general public at events with ease is appreciated.
Communication and organization skills are a must, along with the ability to adapt to changing routines as necessary.
Experience with computers, internet, and multi-line phone systems is required.

This individual will perform a variety of vital tasks necessary to the promotion of our brand, music and artists, concerts and outreach events across our listening area. A House FM marketing intern will gain valuable knowledge and experience in a wide array of marketing communications tactics in an environment that emphasizes teamwork and leadership, personal accountability and ministry. Compensation for this position may include college credit, a stipend, and/or hourly pay.

Responsibilities:

Support the marketing team in all forms of marketing communication and outreach.
Setup and teardown promotional equipment at outreach events and concerts.
Interact with audience members during promotional events.
Pickup and deliver promotional materials, prizes, etc.

Broadcast Intern

The House FM is a listener-supported Christian radio network serving much of Central and Western Oklahoma and Southern Kansas. Our ministry is seeking a part-time broadcast intern to support our production team in our Ponca City, OK headquarters. This individual will perform a variety of vital tasks necessary to our brand’s on-air product. A House FM broadcast intern will gain valuable knowledge and experience in modern radio broadcasting and programming in an environment that emphasizes teamwork and leadership, personal accountability and ministry. Compensation for this position may include college credit, a stipend, and/or hourly pay.

Responsibilities:

Support our DJs and production team in preparation and execution of on-air duties.
Work with production software to produce audio, pre-recorded spots, etc.
Assist with live production of morning/afternoon shows, including call screening and other tasks.
Build on-air skill and experience as an assistant DJ.

Qualifications & Requirements:

The ideal candidate is pursuing post-high school education and experience in broadcasting or a similar field.
