Chief Engineer

The House FM and The House of Praise have an opening for a Radio Chief Engineer at the non-profit organization’s headquarters in Oklahoma. The radio ministry is looking for a detail-oriented, organized multi-tasker who has the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. This is a full-time position, ideal for:

Responsibilities:

Overseeing the maintenance and operation of all broadcast-related equipment, and keeping such equipment operational and compliant with FCC rules and regulations at all times.
The Chief Engineer will act as the Chief Operator of all 20 transmitters, and will rotate being on-call for “Emergency” technical situations.
The Chief Engineer will also supervise two part-time assistant engineers.
He/She will coordinate all installation and maintenance of radio broadcast equipment, towers, fences, buildings, and generators, along with other duties as assigned.
Solid working knowledge of broadcast consoles and automated on-air operating systems, such as Zetta, is required. I.T. and networking skills required as well.

Qualifications & Requirements:

At least five years of broadcast-engineering experience is required.
A minimum of an Associate’s Degree is required (work experience might substitute for the degree).
Excellent communication and organization skills. Ability to set and adhere to deadlines.
Must possess a desire to impact coworkers and audience members through Christian ministry.

Office Assistant

The House FM and The House of Praise have a full-time entry-level position open for an Office Assistant working at the non-profit organizations radio headquarters in Ponca City, Oklahoma. We are looking for a determined self-starter to handle our most time sensitive and important projects.

Responsibilities:

Support the office team in all forms of internal operations, organization, communications, and team care.
Support the team in the execution of external initiatives – donor development, general fundraising, recruiting, community relations, etc.
Pickup and deliver mail, supplies, promotional materials, prizes, etc. as a representative of our brand.
Tasks will include but are not limited to bulk mailings of various types, matching donation funds follow up, volunteer database management.
Maintain physical and digital filing systems as the work demands.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Outgoing personality with an ability to interact with community leaders, business people, donors, and the general public at events with ease is appreciated.
Operational knowledge of MSWord, Excel, and QuickBooks, and an ability to learn proprietary software.
Communication both verbally and in writing, along with organization skills, with the ability to adapt to changing routines is necessary.
Leadership training, customer service, ministry, or teaching, is a plus, and should be highlighted on your resume or portfolio.

General Maintenance

The House FM is a listener-supported Christian radio network serving much of central and western Oklahoma and southern Kansas. Our ministry is seeking a part-time general maintenance position to support our team in our Ponca City, OK headquarters. This individual will perform a variety of vital tasks necessary to the operation of our radio networks.

Responsibilities:

Support the office team in all forms of internal operations, organization, communications and team care. Such as answering phones, running errands, picking up mail, etc.
Interact with community leaders, business people, donors and audience members during public events. Such as going to concerts and events with the Promotions Team when needed.
Pickup and deliver equipment, supplies, promotional materials, prizes, etc. as a representative of our brand.

Perform standard cleaning activities, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, washing dishes, stocking items, cleaning toilets, wiping down counters, and more.
Performs minor fixture jobs, such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters,etc.
Assist the engineering department when needed.
Garden and yard upkeep may be required; it can include activities like collecting trash and mowing the lawn.
Report to the operations manager or office manager for issues.

Our ministry is seeking a part-time marketing intern to support our marketing team in our Edmond, OK headquarters. This individual will perform a variety of vital tasks necessary to the promotion of our brand, music and artists, concerts and outreach events across our listening area. A House FM marketing intern will gain valuable knowledge and experience in a wide array of marketing communications tactics in an environment that emphasizes teamwork and leadership, personal accountability and ministry. Compensation for this position may include college credit, a stipend, and/or hourly pay.

Responsibilities:

Support the marketing team in all forms of marketing communication and outreach.
Setup and teardown promotional equipment at outreach events and concerts.
Interact with audience members during promotional events.
Pickup and deliver promotional materials, prizes, etc.

Broadcast Intern

The House FM is a listener-supported Christian radio network serving much of Central and Western Oklahoma and Southern Kansas. Our ministry is seeking a part-time broadcast intern to support our production team in our Ponca City, OK headquarters. This individual will perform a variety of vital tasks necessary to our brand’s on-air product. A House FM broadcast intern will gain valuable knowledge and experience in modern radio broadcasting and programming in an environment that emphasizes teamwork and leadership, personal accountability and ministry. Compensation for this position may include college credit, a stipend, and/or hourly pay.

Responsibilities:

Support our DJs and production team in preparation and execution of on-air duties.
Work with production software to produce audio, pre-recorded spots, etc.
Assist with live production of morning/afternoon shows, including call screening and other tasks.
Build on-air skill and experience as an assistant DJ.

Qualifications & Requirements:

The ideal candidate is pursuing post-high school education and experience in broadcasting or a similar field.
Outgoing personality, able to interact with our listeners on-air or at concerts and events.
