Broadcast Intern
The House is a listener-supported Christian radio network serving much of Central and Western Oklahoma and Southern Kansas. Our ministry is seeking a full-time broadcast intern to perform a range of duties at our Edmond studios. This individual will perform a variety of vital tasks necessary to our brand’s on-air product. A House FM broadcast intern will gain valuable knowledge and experience in modern radio broadcasting and programming in an environment that emphasizes teamwork and leadership, personal accountability and ministry. Compensation for this position may include college credit, a stipend, and/or hourly pay.
Responsibilities:
- Work with production software to assist the Production Director in producing imaging for our two networks.
- Opportunity to assist with live production of morning/afternoon shows, including call screening and other tasks.
- Build on-air skills and experience as an on-air DJ.
- Assist Program Director with log and traffic scheduling.
- Represent The House at community events and concerts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is pursuing postsecondary education and has experience in broadcasting or a related field.
- Outgoing personality, able to interact with our listeners on-air or at concerts and events.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Experience with editing software, script writing, audio/video production or as talent in audio/video productions should be highlighted in resume or portfolio
- A desire to impact coworkers and audience members through Christian ministry.

Chief Engineer
The House FM and The House of Praise have an opening for a Radio Chief Engineer at the non-profit organization’s headquarters in Oklahoma. The radio ministry is looking for a detail-oriented, organized multi-tasker who has the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. This is a full-time position, ideal for:

Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the maintenance and operation of all broadcast-related equipment, and keeping such equipment operational and compliant with FCC rules and regulations at all times.
- The Chief Engineer will act as the Chief Operator of all 20 transmitters, and will rotate being on-call for “Emergency” technical situations.
- The Chief Engineer will also supervise two part-time assistant engineers.
- He/She will coordinate all installation and maintenance of radio broadcast equipment, towers, fences, buildings, and generators, along with other duties as assigned.
- Solid working knowledge of broadcast consoles and automated on-air operating systems, such as Zetta, is required. I.T. and networking skills are required as well.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- At least five years of broadcast-engineering experience is required.
- A minimum of an Associate’s Degree is required (work experience might substitute for the degree).
- Excellent communication and organization skills. Ability to set and adhere to deadlines.
- Must possess a desire to impact coworkers and audience members through Christian ministry.

This individual will perform a variety of vital tasks necessary to the promotion of our brand, music and artists, concerts and outreach events across our listening area. A House FM marketing intern will gain valuable knowledge and experience in a wide array of marketing communications tactics in an environment that emphasizes teamwork and leadership, personal accountability and ministry. Compensation for this position may include college credit, a stipend, and/or hourly pay.
Responsibilities:
- Support the marketing team in all forms of marketing communication and outreach.
- Setup and teardown promotional equipment at outreach events and concerts.
- Interact with audience members during promotional events.
- Pickup and deliver promotional materials, prizes, etc.

- Support the team in the execution of external initiatives – donor development, general fundraising, recruiting, community relations, etc.

- Pickup and deliver equipment, supplies, promotional materials, prizes, etc. as a representative of our brand.
