NOT TODAY SATAN
Satan is a sneaky one.
1 Peter 5:8-9 says, “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.”
Our place in eternity with our Father is secure. The devil can’t take that away from us, but he does seek to damage our faith. He wants fear to shake our submission to the Father, and lies to distort our understanding of God’s goodness. Since he can’t touch the believer’s soul, Satan seeks to leave us as weak and ineffective servants of our King.
It could be keeping us SO busy we don’t have the time to serve or attend church because we’ve got other obligations.
It could be distracting us during the time we do set aside to pray, journal, and read God’s word.
It could be the lies the devil tell us, that we start to believe – keeping us from being bold for Christ.
The devil will attack our faith in lots of ways… but the strategy for fighting back stays the same: Trust God more; increase our reliance on Him. Say “no” to the devil and “yes” to the Father.
