Great Day of Service, April 19, 2026!!!

This is a cherished annual Ponca City tradition where volunteers of all ages from churches and businesses work to clean up yards and properties for free in underserved areas of town. This is the Sunday before the City has its Annual Free Clean Up week.
We need volunteers for cleanup. Outdoor jobs are cutting limbs, clearing yards, raking leaves, mowing, weed eating, chain sawing, moving junk, etc. There are tasks for everyone at all skill levels. The City takes all the waste away free of charge. Typically, the individual churches form teams and send groups to properties at 1pm. You will work on properties until 5pm or so, then meet back at the churches for barbecue with the served families.
In 2025 over 203 community volunteers from 10 local churches came together to help clean up yards at 101 homes! In doing so over 19 tons of trash and 1000lb of tires were removed from the streets by Ponca City Solid Waste, demonstrating the growing commitment of Ponca City’s residents to maintaining our beautiful town.
The way it works is each group has an area of town they will canvas with a resident waiver/flyer in advance to see if the residents would like some help. In many cases these are rental properties so we must also get permission from the owners.
Volunteers go to the area churches or contact me directly to sign up and fill out a liability waiver and T shirt order. Bright fluorescent yellow shirts with the logo on them are available for purchase from all the churches to be worn while doing work.
What I need to know is if you will be willing to serve this year to help other people. If so, please contact me as soon as possible to be put on a team, cook, provide tools or supplies, and let me know if you would be willing to help canvas addresses.

The House FM Golf Tournament is back for Year Two, and we’d love for you to join us again on June 6th at The Golf Club of Edmond! Last year was an incredible day of golf, community, and support for the ministry of The House FM, and we’re looking forward to doing it again in 2026 in a new location.
