Social Summer

Summer is here! School is out! The sun is out. It’s hot! Woo-hoo!
But…
What is Summer for? I mean, what do we use it for besides mowing, swimming, riding bikes (do people still do that??), and grilling?
Summer is a great time to work on our relationships! In student ministry, we go to a lot of camps. These are opportunities to work on our relationships with other people. Summer is a great time to meet new people or strengthen our already existing friendships.
How do we do that?
Reach out to your neighbors. Have them over for dinner or a cookout. Invite the kids in your neighborhood over to play in the sprinkler!
We can use this season to introduce those around us to Jesus. We can work to make them better. We can seek out relationships that will make us better too! Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” Let’s use the time to stay sharp together!
