You hear this from anyone who travels to poverty-stricken countries like Haiti, that we have no idea how well off we are here in the ‘States. I thought I appreciated my blessings until I visited Honduras a couple of years ago, only to be shocked, literally shocked, by the way some children were living. Hungry, living in cramped and unsanitary conditions, surrounded by violence…

Meeting these Honduran children fundamentally changed me. During our special 2-day radio event here at The House, we want to introduce you to some kids from Haiti, in the hope that your life will be fundamentally changed also.
In reading the gospels, we discover God’s ‘soft spot’ for children. Jesus was gentle and kind with them, and passionate about protecting them from harm. I’m don’t know of a better way to show our desire to be Christ-like, than to feed and care for children in poverty.
This week, you are needed to show Christ’s love for these precious children of Haiti. It’s the poorest country in the western hemisphere, where a great many children struggle with hunger, disease, and lack of education.
But, during this special event at The House, we’ll show you how you can provide meals, medical care, and education for the ‘poorest of the poor’ for just $38 a month! And just as important as the food and medical care, your sponsored child will hear about Jesus Christ- many, for the very first time.

Think again about God’s tender heart for children. His willingness to devote time to them, His recognition of their special status, and His zeal for protecting their innocence.
