Growing Pains
May 15, 2024 by Stephanie Reece
I am not a big fan of change. My comfort zone is safe, quiet, and known. I have more sense of control. If we are being honest, change is scary, and it can hurt. How do we find peace when life feels so uncertain?    Isaiah 43:18-19 says: “Forget the former things;     do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing!     Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness     and streams in the wasteland.   Isaiah 43:18-19 tells us not to dwell on the past. God is doing a new thing in each of us every day. With each new experience, we can learn from the past and grow to our full potential. There is so much more that He has for us right outside our comfort zone - and He will be there with you every step of the way.   Change can be scary and uncomfortable, and there may be growing pains. Know that the Lord will be with you through it, and work it out for you. Rather than taking comfort in the things we know, I encourage you to find peace in God and His plan for your life. Let’s trade our comfort zones for the comfort of knowing that He will be with us, refining and molding us into the best version of ourselves.    Don’t let fear confine you, step out of your comfort zone with boldness knowing that He goes before you, clearing the way.
